Originally an unreliable mixture of Prussian Blue and Gamboge, Hooker's Green has come to be recognized as a useful colour for watercolour paintings. A dull yellowish-green pigment, Hooker's Green works well in botanical and landscape paintings, and produces beautiful greens when combined with Stoneground's Phthalo Green, Prussian Blue, or Hansa Yellow.
