Description: Block printing, Linocut printmaking
Basics of linocut printmaking will take students through the full process of designing, carving and printing with linocut. Students will gain an understanding of block printing including the fundamentals of designing for print, knowledge of the tools and materials and the skills to print your own linocut at home. No prior block printing experience is necessary. Expect to print onto several types of quality professional print making paper for a hands-on experience with how grain, weight, and tone can make all the difference.
Students should bring an image they would like to carve, or a clear idea of an image they can recreate for carving. It is recommended you wear work clothes or bring an apron.
Supplies included in take home kit:
· 6 x 6 Lino block
· Two 11x15 sheets of Stonehenge
· Two 9x12 sheets of Awagami Bamboo Select
· Two 11x15 sheets of Speedball Arnhem
· Rice paper
· Tracing & Graphite Paper
· HB Pencil
· Sharpie Marker
· Two linocut tools

Refund Policy for Workshops:
Notice for cancellations with expected refund or credit must be provided 4 days prior to the scheduled date of the workshop.
Cancellations within the 4 day prior period will not be refunded, nor will “no shows” the day of the workshop.
Those who cancel within the accepted period are entitled to a full refund via the original method of payment.
If a workshop we are hosting is cancelled, all registrants will be contacted, informed and fully refunded.
Acts of God are cause for exception and will be processed case to case.
