1 Day – Still Life Oil Painting With Vern Schwarz - May 15, 2026

This 3.5-hour workshop is designed to guide you through creating a still life oil painting. It begins with a brief drawing demonstration, followed by a step-by-step painting process. For example, different ways to start and develop the work.

With plenty of one-on-one guidance, we’ll work together to identify areas for improvement and offer helpful suggestions. My approach is straightforward and effective with a goal to support you in reaching a new level in your work while providing ideas for continued artistic growth. As a self-taught artist, I’ve learned many valuable techniques over the years, and I’m excited to share them with you!

• Assorted oil or water-based oil colours: titanium white, cadmium yellow, cadmium red, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, burnt umber, and ultramarine blue.

• Assorted brushes up to 1”

• Smaller-sized palette knife

• Palette or palette paper

• Gamsol or similar

• Paper towels

•8” x 10” surface
