Learn about the colour wheel, colour application, and blending to enhance intensity, hue, value, and palettes.

Required supplies for the workshop:

• Graphite pencils with H, HB, 2B, or more

• Set of 12 oil pastels – “Cray-Pas Expressionist” – Available in-store - or bring your own kit with extra white, black & grey sticks of oil pastels if the kit doesn’t include them.

• 9” x 12” White Sketchbook (70-100 lb) with good quality paper for oil pastels or mixed media.

• Set of blending tortillons

• A cotton “Q-Tips” box

Optional Supplies:

• Small container of “turpenoid” for blending

• Small container of canola or olive or lia seed oil.

• 2 brushes for blending

• Paper towels

• Extra specialty papers: a sheet of mat board, a sheet of Bristol vellum board and a sheet of watercolour quality paper.
