General's Charcoal Drawing Pencils are handcrafted in the USA with General's Original Charcoal formula dating back to 1889. Handcrafted with responsibly harvested, straight grained, incense cedar wood to ensure smooth sharpening and strength.

General's Charcoal cores are bonded to the wood with our exclusive "Carbo-Weld" bonding process for added strength and reliability.

Use for sketching and drawing to achieve a wide range of tonal values. Use harder, lighter degrees for fine details. For bolder, darker strokes use softer degrees. Cross hatch a series of lines to achieve different values or to shade.

To sharpen, use General's Little Red All-Art Sharpener. To erase, use General's Factis Magic Black eraser, or a white vinyl eraser, such as the Factis ES-20.
